UCC21737-Q1: How is the gate discharged if"Enable" goes low?

Hello Experts,

In the datasheet, there are contradicting spacifications of the drivers's reaction to Enable=low: "regular turn-off" or a "soft turn-off". Whic is true?

Hi Fabio,

Let me confirm this with the team - the EN going low should initiate the regular turn off. Will let you know after the team confirms.

UCC21717-Q1 has EN initiated soft turn-off, but UCC21737-Q1 should not.

Yes, EN - Low should initiate regular turn off as indicated in the datasheet for UCC21737-Q1. STO happens only when DESAT triggered.

Thank you for the reply. Therefore the described behavior in the chapter "8.3.8 Soft Turn-off" is wrong?

Hi Fabio,

In the 8.3.8, the first statement is right, the STO is initiated during FLT event. However as indicated by 8.3.9, the EN/RST pin low will trigger regular turn off not STO.
