LM61495: Regarding PMIC Combination of TPS62067, TPS568215, TPS65023 for Xilinx Artix-7 FPGA XC7A200T-2FBG676I

Part Number: LM61495
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS62067, TPS568215, TPS65023, , TPSM63610, LMR43620, TPSM33625

Tool/software:

Hi Team,

As per below suggestion (image), it is recommended to use the following combination of three ICs for power management of Artix-7 XC7A200T FPGA.

1) TPS62067 for 1V

2) TPS568215 for 1.8V

3) TPS65023 for 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V.

However, we are already using LM61495RPHR in our board power supply section.

My question is:

Since we already have used three numbers of LM61495RPHR, we are planning to use two more LM61495RPHR instead of the TPS62067 and TPS568215.

Therefore, our planned PMIC for Artix-7 FPGA would be

1) LM61495RPHR for 1V (For VCCINT & VCCBRAM of FPGA)

2) LM61495RPHR  for 1.8V (For VCCAUX and VCCADC of FPGA)

3) TPS65023 for 1.8V, 2.5V and 3.3V (For various VCCO of FPGA)

Note: we don't need MGTAVCC and MGTAVTT for FPGA. since we are not using any Transceivers

Please review this and confirm if we can go ahead with our planned architecture as per question asked.

  • Hello,

    1) LM61495RPHR for 1V (For VCCINT & VCCBRAM of FPGA)

Does this need to be a converter or can a power module (integrated inductor) be used here? LM61495 works, but if power module is okay to use then I'd suggest also looking at the TPSM63610

    2) LM61495RPHR  for 1.8V (For VCCAUX and VCCADC of FPGA)

Just wanted to make sure that this rail only needs to pull 1.2A, based on the block diagram. If so, perhaps a converter solution would be the LMR43620 and for power module TPSM33625.

For the other rail, I'll let the PMIC team look into it.

    Regards,

    Jimmy
