I am using this chip at PVIN of typical 36V, there may be chances of transients. so i am planning to add one TVS at its PVIN pins 20,21,22 to Ground. I have chosen SMCJ48A/CA diode which is having Vrwm=48V, Vbrk=53V, Vclamp= 77V@10/1000us & Vclamp=100V@8/20us transients. Since the clamping voltages are beyond the PVIN pin's absolute maximum rating which is 48V, whether the chip will be damaged during the transients if I use this TVS diode??? Kindly looking for your update. Please do the needful.
