TPS6594-Q1: TPS6594-Q1 device resets on entering any window

Hello experts,
I am working on TPS6594-Q1 PMIC device,
I put a break point after writing the answers in long window, the device resets.
If I break point after writing the answers in window1, the device resets. and same for the window2.
I see the correct answers are written for the respective question generation.
Even without any breakpoints also, there is a resetting of the device after the window2.There is no possibility of going for next question generation.
I read the value of the WD_FAIL_CNT as 0x0.
I have configured enough time for the long window also (WD_LONGWIN is configured to the value of 0xFF). Window 1 and window 2 are configured for their max values.
What else can be the reason for the reset behavior of the device

Hi Manisha,

Can you get the reset cause by reading the interrupt registers? This FAQ I think is a good place to start: https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management-group/power-management/f/power-management-forum/1112617/faq-tps6594-q1-lp8764-q1-debugging-pmic-behavior-with-interrupt-interpretation By reading the interrupt registers it can help interpret the reset cause - can you check this and confirm back what you find?

Thanks for the reply,
I read the values of these register (0x5A, 0x69 and 0x6C). All the values of these registers are 0.
If I put the break point at the state machine window2, the device runs till it and resets,
If the break point is at Window1, it writes the 3 answers and resets
I am not able to find where the error exits

Does the PMIC execute a power cycle of its output rails? Or just toggle the nRSTOUT pin?

Can you read register 0x83 after a "reset"?

Hello All,
I am working in TPS6594-Q1 device,
I am able to read only few questions and answers are written to these questions in WINDOW1 , then the PMIC device resets,
what can be the reason for it?
Sometimes it reads all the 15 questions, sometimes less than 15.
Debugging is also not possible because the device resets.

Thanks for your reply,
There was memory corruption on the processor side due to which the reset was not happening,
But now the device runs without resetting but all the time the QUESTION Id is 12,
according to TRM, it is said that the question id should increment if there is no bad event.
Currently I configure the window1 and window2 to its maximum values.
and answers are provided from the lookup table.
