BQ25606: What is discharging peak current through SYS pin?

Dear TI experts,

My customer considers BQ25606 for their new project.

One question is, they need 3A continuous current and 10A peak current (about 1MHz frequency) through SYS pin.

I found that I_BATOP (Discharging current-continuous) is 6A. Is there any problem that this 6A is continuous current from battery through SYS pin?

And I cannot find about peak current in the datasheet. Could you guide me that 10A,1MHz peak current have a problem or not?

Hi Chase,

We can support 3 A discharge continuous from BAT to SYS, but not 10 A at 1 MHz.

2. What is the other charger IC which has maximum discharging pulse current?

Hi Chase,

1. We not specify that unfortunately.

2. BQ2562x has IBAT_PK of up to 12 A for 100 us, 6 A continuous, and above 6 A for 50 ms (up to 10 A), while BQ25638 has IBAT_PK of up to 9 A for 100 us, 7 A continuous, and above 7A for 50 ms (up to 9A).
