BQ34Z100-R2: Automated Calibration of BQ76942 and BQ34Z100-R2 Without BQStudio

Part Number: BQ34Z100-R2
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO, EV2400, , BQ76942

Tool/software:

I am using the BQ76942 and the BQ34Z100-R2 on a single I2C bus, but the official BQStudio tool with the EV2400 can only detect and communicate with one chip at a time.

Therefore I am currently developing a process to calibrate these two chips using a custom USB to I2C connector for production purposes. However, I have encountered a couple of issues:

  1. According to the official documentation, the extended data commands 0x76 to 0x7F are listed as reserved. I noticed that these commands are accessed during the calibration process in BQStudio. Are these commands necessary for calibration? If so, what do these values represent?

  2. I found the document "Going to Production With the BQ34Z1xx," which provides the formula to calculate the Voltage Divider value, but it does not explain how to compute the other calibration values. Additionally, the official documentation for the chip itself does not cover these calculations. Can you provide information on how these values are calculated?

Thank you in advance for your assistance!
