TPS25750EVM: TPS25750 GUI bring up video

Part Number: TPS25750EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS25750, TPS25751

Tool/software:

I have a TPS25750EVM and am following the GUI bring up video (found at bottom of the EVM product page).  After loading all of the exact settings from the video, and plugging into the sink board, I am unable to get it to negotiate up to the 9V.  When I push the 9V button, the the Vbus LED flashes on both the EVM and the sink board and only the 5V LED comes on.  I used the Passmark USB PD Tester and it continues to flash vbus LED on the EVM without staying constant.  Here is a screenshot of the testers log.  All jumpers on the EVM appear to match the video.  What am I missing?

Thanks,

Charlie

  • Hi Charlie,

Our device expert for TPS25750 is currently out of office until next week. He will take a look at your query after returning.

    Thank you for your understanding.

  • Hi Charles,

I want to highlight a new product, the TPS25751. This is a follow on to the TPS25750. It is pin to pin compatible, and incorporates some new features as well as fixes some issues found on the TPS25750 when paired with battery chargers. We are strongly advising all new designs use the TPS25751 instead of the TPS25750. If you are far enough along in your development process to not be able to incorporate this new part, that is understandable.

Could you upload your settings file from the GUI, so I can see if any changes are needed to your configuration?

    Regards,

    Conner
