The customer asked me about 4-Switch configuration of LM5171. Is it possible for LM5171 to have a 4-switch configuration for bidirectional buck boost control such as ADI LT8708? If it is possible, please share the schematic or materials for reference design with me.

Hi Jeffrey,

It is not possible to configure LM5171 this way.

You may configure LM5171 as two stage boost + buck for bi-directional buck-boost operation. Pleae refer to PMP15035 for more details.

You may consider LM5177 for 4-switch buck-boost.
