Tool/software:

I am using bq34z100g ics in my two identical boards.

I connected the boards to PC via EV2400 and found ....

1. Device address of one Ic: 10h and other board ic is AA h

2. One board golden image and reading the content through bqstudio software failed and other is board is following all instructions perfectly

3. Sealing , unsealing access from Bqstudio software to bq34z100 is not working whereas for other board, this application are working

Is the ics are fine or any other issues which can be addressed

Hi Saptarishi,

Try to reflash the FW on the device that is not working.

Hi Mr EVAN,

I tried re flashing the FIrnware into the IC but it is failing--- there was Message "NO ACKNOWLEDGMEMT FROM THE DEVICE" ON THE SCREEN. Could you please give solution.

i am just curious to know, whether IC has gone in to unrecoverable state, if yes, can we recover it?

Hi,

I have seen this error message a few times before.

Is your device autodetected by bqstudio? If so this is good!

When you are programming your device, please go to the programming tab at the top of BQstudio, select the correct path for the FW, then press program on the left. I usually get the error you received when I press Execute FW instead of program device.

If this still does not fix your issue, try to send some basic cmds using the command window on the far right of bqstudio and see if you are getting the correct responses.

Hello Mr Evan,

Thank you for the prompt response. The device is though auto detecting , but it is not showing any response for the basic commands.. and it is failing to unseal the ic too

Suggest some more methods pl

Hi,

Thanks for clearing that up, it is good the device is being autodetected, but if the device is not able to send and receive cmds it is most likely an issue with i2c.

Is this on the BQ34z100EVM or a custom PCB? Can you share the schematic if it is a custom PCB? If it's the EVM verify the i2c jumper is connected.
