TPS2HB16-Q1: Reverse battery protection of desired circuit

Part Number: TPS2HB16-Q1

Tool/software:

Hello!

Are there any possible concerns with the circuit below? (e.g. sneak current)

Pull-down resistors of inputs are added  to the typical application and connect EN* to Device GND and all others to Module GND.

According to SLVAE55, I thought the current would flow like the blue arrow.

Is it OK if the Absolute Maximum Ratings of Ignd(-50mA) is satisfied when reverse battery?

Thank you

  • Hojo-san,

No issue adding the pull-down resistors, however do keep in mind that the digital pins of the device do have weak internal pulldowns:

If you desire a stronger pulldown, however, an additional pull-down resistor can be added as long as you do not violate any of the absolute maximum conditions in the datasheet.

    Best Regards,
    Tim
