[FAQ] BQ25756: How do I work with the ADC

Part Number: BQ25756

Tool/software:

Hello,

The BQ2575X ADC can measure the TS voltage, VFB voltage, input voltage, input current, battery voltage, and battery current. The ADC can also measure the system voltage if the SYS pin is present. The ADC uses a separate measurement circuit different than the BQ25756 control loop circuits.

By default, the ADC is OFF, is one-shot, has a 13-bit resolution, and does not take a running average. To activate the ADC, you'll need to set EN_ADC=1. To change from one-shot mode to continuous mode, you'll need to set ADC_RATE=0.

You can read more about the ADC in the Integrated 16-Bit ADC for Monitoring section in the BQ2575X datasheets.

Best Regards
