USB-C-PD-DUO-EVM: CE/EU Declaration of Conformity (aka EU DoC) required

Yes, that is correct . I also emailed Adam earlier this month as we received more stock, but Adam did not respond, hence the request via this ticket.

Since T.I continue to manufacture the product with the CE marking, T.I has the legal obligation to draw the CE/EU Declaration of Conformity.

Mouser USA as the importer to the EU has the obligation to keep in their records a copy of the CE/EU Declaration of the CE products they offer to the EU/UK markets.

I am sorry but the request has been pending with Adam since March, meanwhile, we received more of these parts from T.I.

There are legal obligations with regards to printing CE to their products that the manufacturer (here T.I) must fulfil. The CE/EU Declaration of Conformity is one of them, it is mandatory for the manufacturer to draw the CE/EU Declaration of Conformity for the products they apply CE too. They also have the obligation to keep the CE/EU Declarations of Conformity up to date for the life of the product and to keep it in their records for 10 years after the last sale.

This is explained in all the CE Directive, including the ROHS Directive (Ref Article 7.c and 7.d of the ROHS Directive 2011/65/EU under Obligations of the manufacturers)

Mouser USA, as the importer to the EU must hold a copy of the CE/EU Declaration of Conformity (again an obligation expressed by the CE Directives) and we rely on T.I's compliance to be able to meet ours.

When last exchanged with Adam, the issue for not providing the CE/EU DoC was that some of the components within the BO had been made obsolete, however we continue to receive this product so either the obsolescence was solved, or TI has continued to manufacture with the existing BOM.

I must ask that you please escalate this legal concern to get T.I to provide the CE/EU Declaration of Conformity for the qties of USB-C-PD-DUO-EVM that T.I has shipped to Mouser since the beginning of 2024. I can email you the PO if needed.
