TPS3436-Q1: Start up delay functionality

Hello,

I'm referring to the orderable part: TPS3436BFACADDFRQ1.

This has letter "F" for output topology/startup delay, meaning "F:Open Drain output, 10 sec".

In my application, I do not want any watchdog start up delay.

If I understand Section 8.3.1.4 "tsd Watchdog Start Up Delay" correctly, this is not possible.

Instead, the 10 sec delay occurs on power up and after each WDO assertion with no way to change this.

Could you please clarify?

    Hi Oliver,

    Your understanding is correct startup delay is activated after power up and after WDO assertion events. We do not currently have a TPS3436-Q1 component planned or released without startup delay. Would you mind providing providing some opportunity details regarding the project that this no startup delay watchdog would be used in:
    Customer?
    End Equipment?
    Quantity?
    Start of Production?

    Hello Joshua,

    thank you for clarification. Now I searched for other products and found out that the TPS3430 will fit in the application. It has a small starup delay of 300us that is neglectable in my case.
