Tool/software:
Buck regulator team,
Can you take a look at this schematic to see how it can be improved? The customer is getting a buzzing noise from the inductor that they describe as a high pitch squeal.
Thanks,
Darren

Hello,
There is a lot of capacitance on the output of this schematic. Is there a specific reason they need 400uF on the output? Too much capacitance can also cause instability. For a similar design, Webench recommends 2x 47uF on the output.
The customer should also check to make sure that the capacitors are not making the noise. Capacitor noise can be mistaken for inductor noise.
Best regards,
Ridge
