My customer have a question for Rsense. They are making two circuit that one is USB2.0/IBUS=2.4A and the other is USB3.0/IBUS=3.0A.
Is it possible to set same Rsense? If so, could you please tell to them your recommendation resistance. In datasheet, there is description that voltage drop should be approx. 50mV.
Could you teach me how much voltage is acceptable from 50mV.

Hi Youhei,
As long as your power tree into the TPS25830-Q1 can supply to 15W of power for the 5V/3A case, then there is nothing in the specification or says you cannot always supply 3A of current, the specification is a minimum.
The Table 10.2 of the datasheet shows the target resistor selections for RSNS=15mOhms and RSET=300 Ohms
RILIMIT has to be selected based on external mosfet or Buck Average.
