Hi Experts,

Good day!

Please assist us in configuring for negative voltage output for TPSM63606EVM.

Regarding the TPSM63606EVM Configuring for Negative Voltage output In EVM User Guide Page 6 footnote 3

TPSM63606EVM and TPSM63606SEVM Evaluation Module User’s Guide

"Configure the EVM as an IBB topology with negative output voltage by connecting the input source between the VIN+ and VOUT+
power terminals."

I would think of configuring Negative voltage - reverse the ground to appear on + terminal and use negative Vo terminal as output

Am I interpreting from footnote 3 that the input voltage should be applied across Vin + and Vo +?

Hi Jonathan,

Here are a couple of application notes which explain how to configure a device for the IBB topology.

IBB with a Module: https://www.ti.com/lit/an/snva897/snva897.pdf

When using a buck device as an IBB, the major difference is that Vout becomes the new system GND. The above application provide detailed guidance on IBB designs. Please refer to them when designing with the TPSM63606.
