TPS7B81-Q1: Does the Vout refer to GND pin or internal GND

Tool/software:

Hi Team,

Customer has one question that the Vref refer to GND or not.

They wonder if the Vin = 5V, GND = 0.5V, then the Vout can keep to 3.3V or goes up to 3.3V+0.5V = 3.8V.

    Hi Marc,

    The device regulates the output voltage relative to the voltage present at the GND pin. The device can only see whatever ground that is connected to the GND pin, so keeping 3.3V relative to some other reference that it is not connected to isn't possible.
