LP8764-Q1: LP8764-Q1 Register Dump and Programming Temp

Part Number: LP8764-Q1

Tool/software:

For LP8764-Q1 register set, is there a way to do an register dump and read everything together at once, and then being able to put it in a structure to be able to compare with the config file settings
Also, I think it is ok to assume that programming the chips at temperatures between 50C-60C is OK (meaning there are no temperature restrictions on programming as long as you stay within data sheet parameters)?
  • Hi Bob,

I believe you should be able to read the current values of all registers using the Scalable PMIC GUI. The GUI user's Guide www.ti.com/.../slvubt8 section 7 discusses using the GUI to read and write registers - one  option there is "read all registers".

Now, if you are instead wanting to read the NVM that is used to write and configure these registers, or to validate that the correct NVM is written in, this can also be done in the GUI discussed in Section 9 of the GUI user's guide, NVM Validation Page.

For the temperature for NVM programming, let me check this.

    Regards,

    Katie

  • To follow up, there are no temperature restrictions specified in the datasheet for writing to the NVM, therefore the same temperature restrictions apply that are mentioned as the "recommended operating conditions" range.

    Regards,

    Katie
