TPS2543: How to connect TPS2543 to a USB type C connector?

Tool/software:

We have used this device for our product for many years. Now the USB connectors will be changed to type C. Can someone please tell me how to connect the wires? Couldn't find the answer yet. Thanks!

Hi SP,

The TPS2543 is a USB charging port controller only. It does not support Type-C. For Type-C ports, you will need a USB Type-C controller that is able to control the CC channels. Assuming your power requirements are still similar to TPS2543 (5V, 2.5A), I recommend the TPS25814. TPS25814 is a Type-C controller with BC1.2 support, capable of sourcing up to 5V, 3A.
