LP2981: Requesting for End of life information

Hi TI team,

We are using MPN: LP2981IM5-3.0/NOPB LDO in one of our device.

Earlier we saw this part life is going to end and last time buy (LTB).

As per the latest PDN# 20240404000.3, the same MPN is till orderable and no longer have a LTB.

Can you please provide the expected End of life for this part?

Hello Vishwanath,

This device is considered Active currently and has no immediate EOL plans. However, it is created on an old process technology. There are better modern alternatives like TPS7A2430DBVR. It is recommended to move to something more modern if possible.

Hi Aaron,

Thank you very much for your alternate suggestion. We had this suggested MPN in our plan. The only thing is to know the life risk of the part support.

Can we expect the lifecycle for this part (LP2981IM5-3.0/NOPB) is around 6-8 years ?
