Tool/software:
The GUI can connect with the USB2ANY , but can't connect with the EVM through I2C whatever the addr is 74H or 75H , the TPS55288EVM-530 has the same problem .
the USB2ANY's fireware version is 2.8.2.0 .
the USB2ANY Explorer doesn't show errors , I can light the 3.3V or the 5V .
When I connect the EVM , I move the jumper of JP1 to the ON position.
the GUI is as below:
Hi Daniel,
Thank you for reaching out. Please provide a photo of your set up. Also, please provide the screen shoot of GUI.
Please check the following point.
Did you update your USB2ANY?
Did you use TPS55288 GUI to connect TPS55288, and use TPS55289 GUI to connect TPS55289 correspondingly?
Can you help check VCC pin voltage? Is it 5V?
Do you have any other USB2ANY Explore? You can try to change one.
Regards,
Mulin
The VCC is 5V . When connect the 55288evm with the USB2ANY , I can see the I2C signal on the oscilloscope, and when the communication stop , the SCL and SDA's level is high ,the voltage is 3.3V ; but when I connect the 55289Q1evm with the USB2ANY ,there is no signal when I connect the device on the 55289 GUI on my computer and let the GUI connect the device ,and the SDA is low ,the SCL is high .
Hi Daniel,
Please remove this two jumpers in SCL and SDA and try again
Regards,
Mulin
I have tried removing and connecting the jumpers , usless , there aren't signal on the SCL and the SDA signal lines .
Hi Daniel,
Did you update USB2ANY? https://e2e.ti.com/support/amplifiers-group/amplifiers/f/amplifiers-forum/861849/usb2any-firmware-update-fails---how-to-fix-it
Regards,
Mulin
Yes,I had updated the USB2ANY when I connected it to my computer at the first time , the fireware version is 2.2.2.0
Hi Daniel,
Can you help provide the waveform of SDA and SCL so that I can check if the byte is right.
Regards,
Mulin
The 55289Q1-EVM doesn't have any wave on the scope , I think the EVM doesn't work , the supply voltage is 10V .
Can you help check VCC pin voltage? Is it 5V?
Did you check VCC voltage? If it is 5V, then EVM is working. If not, check EN pin and power supply.
Since there is not SCL and SDA signal at all, it is not EVM issue. Check your USB2ANY hardware and software. Did you use a needle to press against the hole of the USB2ANY hardware BOUTON BSL and update it?
Yes,the VCC is 5V ,I also use a needle to press the BSL button before connecting the USB2ANY with the computer when I updated the USB2ANY .
Do you have the after-selling service ? Can you send a new 55289EVM to me and I send the one in my hand back to you .
Also I have another 55288EVM ,but I just connected it with USB2ANY two times successfully .
The explorer of USB2ANY software show the fireware version is 2.8.2.0 , does this mean the updation is successful ?
Hi Daniel,
1. Did you use trigger to capture SCL SDA signal? Can you directly test USB2ANY connector?
2.Did you modify the board? Can you show me a clear picture of the board.
3.Do you have more chips? You can try to change an IC.
4.I can not help after-selling service. You can try to contact your TI account FAE.
Regards,
Mulin
1, I used the Normal mode when I used the scope , when the signal of the SCL and SDA have changing ,the scope can capture the changing immadiatly.
2,I didn't modify the board ,the EVM is totally new .
3,I have the chips , I will try to change a new chip .
Hi Daniel,
Please offer the triggered waveforms so that we can check if signal is right. Try this auto connect function to change I2C address.

Mulin
