CSD95373AQ5M: Power Loss Calculation of the PSpice Simulation does not match the Datasheet

This is the Simulation Scheme with PSPICE for TI (Tj 125°)

The parameters set in accordance with the Datasheet (Output Current 23A)

According to the Datasheet Power Loss of 2.8 W is expected.
But the PSPICE Simulation calculates a power loss of only 1.68 W.

Does anyone have an idea, why there is a difference?

Hello,

The datasheet power loss data is from an EVM. The EVM has an RC snubber of 1nF and 1 Ohms. The power loss in the snubber is around C*(V)^2 = 1nF*500KHz*(12)^2 = 0.7W.

There also some losses in the capacitors ESR.

Thanks Mahmoud.
There's a description of an EVM of the CSD95373B device but not of the CSD95373A.
According to the datasheet, the measured power loss is the device power loss without snubber.
Still have this power loss difference.

Hello,

If there is no snubber, during transition time the voltage spikes are higher. If the spikes are higher than 21.5V, the internal clamping dissipates the energy from the spikes.
