Tool/software:

Test the bq27z558 for accurate battery condition monitoring.

Attempted to identify the chemical ID according to the evaluation module datasheet.

I confirmed that the next step is learning the life cycle steps.

So what is the difference between identifying a Chem ID and creating a golden image by learning the lifecycle steps?

I don't understand the purpose and order of these.

Hello,

The ChemID is needed before running the learning cycle. The ChemID is something you program onto the gauge before running the learning cycle.

Thanks for your response.

I have run through the process of selecting a chemical ID.
However, I am experiencing problems.

BQstudio crashes while discharging the log.
The Battery used in this case is 1200mAh.
After charging and relaxing time, I started discharging the battery, but as soon as the battery level reaches 0, BQstudio crashes and I cannot measure the last 5 hours of relaxing time.

Hello,

How fast are you logging the data? It is possible that too fast logging could cause BQStudio to crash.

Hello,

Scan/log interval is set to 4000ms.
So the log elapsed time is recorded every 4 seconds.

And I2C speed is 100kHz.

Are these settings the cause?

Hello,

Yes, I am already using the latest BQstudio and have completed the EV2400 firmware update.

I see the same people on other forums.

There is no BQ27Z558 on the BQstudio start screen.

So I have selected BQ27Z561R2. Is this a problem?

Thanks for telling me that you are using the Bq27z561R2 settings for bqstudio. This is most likely causing the problem. The correct bqz for the bq27z558 should be posted on the product page soon.
