Tool/software:
In the datasheet for TPS61033X, it's stated right on the first page in a bullet point that "FB connects to VIN output voltage for fixed 5.0V". What is "VIN output voltage"? Is this supposed to be "VIN" or "VOUT"? On other similar parts, the "FB" pin would be connected directly to the output on versions with an internal divider, so I want to make sure that the many mentions of it connecting to "VIN" are actually accurate. The EVM does have an empty resistor pad to connect "FB" to "VIN", but I wonder if it's ever been tested with a part populated?
As an aside, I was almost caught by the datasheet typo that an inductor of up to 2.9uH is supported, but I just happened to see the other thread by Dice-K nine months earlier pointing out that it's in fact 1.3uH. Please correct this! Thanks.
Hi Arthur,
The statement should be 'FB connects to VIN, then output voltage is fixed 5.0V', we recommend to connect FB pin with VIN pin together for TPS610333, not VOUT.
About the inductor, the maximum inductance should be 1.3uH, please refer to the ROC table in Section7.3.
The statement that the inductor could be up to 2.9uH is actually a typo here, thanks for pointing it out, we will update the datasheet later.
Regards,
Nathan
