I am using TPS92682 + TPS92520 to achieve headlight lighting, TPS92682 to achieve boost.

I think TPS92520 should have a safety interval (VBOOST-VBUCK_LOAD). If the boost value range is less than this interval, TPS92520 will have the risk of open circuit failure.

Please tell me how to calculate the safe interval voltage difference of the VBOOST-VBUCK.Or tell me the experience value of this interval.

For example, my TPS92520 output voltage is 30V, then I should set the TPS92682 to boost to how many volts to ensure that the tps92520 will not open circuit risk during normal operation.

Hi Lin.

1) For the requirement of the VIN. Usually, it's not recommended that you hit this min-off time, the expected output current may be affected. We generally recommend the customer leaves at lease 2V (5V is preferred) between Vin and Vout. For example, if your max output voltage is 30V, the min Vin is supposed to be 35V.

2) For the efficiency of 520-Q1. If other operating conditions - like fsw, L, Vled are same, as the Vin increases, the efficiency would slightly decrease. you can refer to below post and efficiency calculator.
