TPS22992: Schematic Review

Part Number: TPS22992

Tool/software:

Good Afternoon,

I have designed a circuit using three TPS22992RXPR to control 3 power rails

The use of these components was recommended by the external system designer.

VDD_SW and DVDDLO_SW will be asserted at the same time. The desired operation for the rails (voltage/current) is:

PS_VDD_SW (0.8V/16mA) and PS_DVDDLO_SW (1.8V/1.6mA) to ramp up at different rates to settle at the same time. My requirement is that it takes no less than 100us to ramp up.

DVDD_SW will then be asserted to energize DVDD_BATT_PS (3.3V/600uA/10mA). It must also take at least 100us to ramp up

I have attached the schematic and BOM. Single pin devices with J reference designators are test points. Two pin devices with J reference designators are jumpers to isolate the power supply from the rest of the circuit on the prototype board.

Please let me know if there is any clarifying information that I can provide.

Thanks

Frank

  • Hello Frank,

    Schematic looks fine to me.

Small concern is PS_VDD_SW (0.8V/16mA) is exactly the minimum ON pin voltage level to turn on (VIH).

CT pin capacitor values are different for each load switch. I hope they are chosen based on your requirement (to control the inrush current)

    Thanks
