Hi, 

We are using TPS929240QDCPRQ1 LED driver . Can we know the max power it can support.

I calculated the power dissipation by the driver using the formula given in datasheet and we are getting power around 6W.

Can the IC handle power >6W. What is the max power that this IC can handle?

    Hi Nithya S,

    How do you get this result? what are your operating conditions?

    you can use the thermal information to evaluate it and get the temperature rise according to your ambient temperature requirement. 

    The power that the device can handle also depends on your thermal design, like heat sink to avoid its OTP (overtemperature protection), thanks!
