Tool/software:
GPCRB impedance track failure. The upload file as follws.
Please tell me how to do this. The chem id can't support the temperature of -40℃?
Thanks!

There was an error in processing your report. The specific error encountered is:
The following errors were reported by the calculation engine:
Error: negative room temperature resistance observed, R=-0.00729451152744013 usually caused by wrong chem ID selection
Hello,
Was the chemID inputted found using the GPCCHEM tool? If so, can you please share the report file and inputted data?
Regards,
Anthony
Hi!
Please check the gpcchem report and original data.

Hello,
Thank you for sending those files, it seems like the correct chemID was chosen since it has an error of less than 3%. Regarding the error that is being seen from the tool, this typically happens when the measured voltage is above the OCV curve depicted by the chosen chemID, however there are no observable spikes in the measured voltage from the room temp input data. Is this the first time this error has been received or has this error been seen with multiple sets of data?
Regards,
Anthony
Hi!
Uploading two sets data and received the same error report. Please check what is the problem.

Hello,
Thank you for sending, we will look through these files. Since this is being ran at -40degC which is right on the cutoff of the operational temperature for this device, has this test been ran at either -35 or -30degC to see if there is a change in the tools performance?
Regards,
Anthony
Hi!
Testing at -20degC,and the result is same. Please check what is the problem.

Hello,
Can you please confirm the cell formation and design capacity that was used when the GPCCHEM tool when the chemID was acquired? I see in the .gg files for the GPCRB tool runs that the design capacity is 6400mAh, so I would like to confirm whether the same thing was used for the GPCCHEM tool.

Anthony
Hello,
I see that in the GPCCHEM data, the room temperature measurement is higher (30degC or greater the entire time) compared to the GPCRB room temp data (around 25deg), was one of these tests conducted in a temperature chamber?
Regards,
Anthony
Hi!
Testing three cells in the room temperature. Please check the data that is 25deg.

Hello,
Thank you for sending these files. I have reached out to our team who maintains this tool for more insight into what is causing this. I will update you when received.
Regards,
Anthony
Hello,
Sorry for the delay, our tools expert informed us that in this situation, the room temperature discharge is getting too close to the OCV curve, which is causing this negative resistance to be seen.
If possible, please try using a 1C rate discharge for the room temperature tests. They also confirmed that the low temperature data here is sufficient and will work for the tool.

Anthony
