TPS3808: Pull-up resistor choice on nRESET line

Part Number: TPS3808

Tool/software:

Hi, Team!

The datasheet for the part TPS3808G01DBVR recommends having a pull-up between 10k and 1M on the nRESET line:

However, given that the maximum capability of the pin specified is 5mA, would it be okay to have 3.4k as a pull up on the line? Or do you suggest sticking to the specified range of 10k and 1M?

Thanks for your help.

Best wishes,

Kristina.

  • Hi, Team!

Forgot to say : we are pulling the resistor to 3.3V.

    Thanks!

  • Hi Kristina,

Thanks for your question! Do you know what is their VDD voltage?

Yes, the reset pin can handle  ±5A, and I think they can connect 3.4k pullup resistor since they are not exceeding the current limitations. But I want to highlight that we always recommend using the IC as in datasheet.

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks,
