Tool/software:
hello
I work for a company which designs humanoid robots (called enchanted tools).
I need to create a schematic that should mix USB2, USB3, display port and provide power delivery to a device through a USB type C connector.
For the moment, I have chosen the TUSB1046 and TPS65987D circuit pair to do this.
But I can't find an evaluation board neither a schematic managing alternate mode and power delivery simultaneously.
Does this exist? Or is there a validated schematic somewhere I could draw inspiration from?
Given my schedule and the complexity of the subject, this would help me. Or perhaps a all-in-one solution exists with other ICs ?
Thanks a lot,
Laurent CATTELLAT
Hi Laurent,
Thanks for reaching out. Have you taken a look at the TUSB1046 EVM? This board shows how the TUSB1046 can be designed into a system to transmit USB and DisplayPort data over type-C
For a more updated design, you might consider the TUSB1146 EVM. This board uses the TPS65987D and the TUSB1146 keeps the functionality of the TUSB1046 with the added benefit of adaptive equalization.
Best,
Shane
