Tool/software:
Hi team,
How can customer clear dead-battery flag? There are description on 8.3.2 Power Management, 8.3.6 Default Behavior Configuration (ADCIN1, ADCIN2), 9.3.1.1 VIN_3V3 Input Switch.
Fundamentally, the device needs to be supplied from VIN_3V3? I assume this is sink-only device and it can be used without VIN_3V3 and supplied from VBUS through LDO in all cases. Is that correct?
If there is 3.3V supply into VIN_3V3, is there any merit for the device?
Regards,
Hayashi
Hi Hayashi,
1. There is no means to clear the dead battery flag.
2. The device does NOT need to be supplied through VIN_3V3. In every case where the TPS25730 is connected to a device that can act as a USB-C and/or USB-PD source, the TPS25730 can be powered through an internal LDO powered from VBUS.
3. Some customers have used this device while supplying VIN_3V3, yes.
Regards,
Conner
