Just noticed that these files are for the older bq76PL536EVM-3 (drawings dated August, 2010).

I would be interested to see the layout for the newer bq76PL536BEVM-3 (I have the schematics but not PDFs of the layout, dated May 2013).

Here is the Gerber file for current evm.  We are working on new EVM that has latest recommendations. 

It will be available soon. I will post it when it is available. 

It's minor changes so you can start with this.

which CAD software do you use? seems is not ALTIUM, last *.pcb file i can't open with altium.

I'd like to share with community an open project for BQ76PL536, they give information about hardware and software.

In this case battery pack is for electric bike, then they just use a few bq76pl536, anyway I think could be interesting for community.

If you have a EVM from TI, you can control the board in a few hours with this information.

I was trying to find a open hardware file to design a pcb, I mean the schematic with all components and layout associated.

For me is very sad that the hardware community don't share files like in software community. 

Why we have to reinvent the wheel every time, if somebody do the schematic with associated hardware (smd resistors, transistors.... layouts), why hundrends of people have to do again, is it a waste of time energy and resources.... that not allow to improve in order areas.

what about if we work on top of that to improve software, or communication or knoledge about batteries. Were are in 21th but i think we have a lot to improve.

thanks to companies and communities like Tesla motors, know we know that radical innovation is possible. But with smart work, not just hardwork.

I think this forum is it an amazing tool and great idea from TI. but still an incremental innovation. what about if you do something new, radical and crazy like tesla did.

I propose an open source TI evaluation board hardware file share. I mean schematic files (form altium or whatever software TI use), then is very fast for a hw designer do modifications to do they own product.

Then HW developers can design products in a matter of days, because is very time consuming do schematic and link to the layout components associated.

the great advantage is that people will use TI components in the schematic design in most cases, so is good for community and good for TI.

For example in the case of BQ76PL536 will use your transistor instead and standard one. 

I think in this case is like software, in most cases is more cost effective for first versions use standard libraries and buying more powerfull cpu, than develop software from 0 to have maximum performance.

A think TI, can leader the 21th electronic market, you have great products, if you help to short time to market and make easy for customers to launch new products you can make not just money if not history.

Bq76PL536A belongs to Monitor, protector and authentication forum.

We have posted Gerber files and schematics in that forum.

I will post Gerber file in this location just in case you don't find them.

We are in process of developing new evms and I will share when it's ready.

Meanwhile, you can use attached Gerber files and schematic. 

Please remove TI logo when you build your own boards.
