I noticed the status of TPS65987DDK just changed to NRND. Is there an alternative part for implementing DisplayPort ALT mode?

    We are sorry to inform you that TPS65987/TPS65988 is no longer recommended for new designs as it no longer meets the latest USB-IF compliance specs. We currently do not have a direct alternate mode capable replacement available on TI.com at this time, and will keep you informed on any new updates for this portfolio.     Do you mind sharing which parts of USB-IF compliance are not being met? How long until the part is discontinued?

    Hi Michal, 

    These devices do not support the latest PD specification (PD3.2) and do not have the capability to be upgraded due to patch space, unfortunately. 

    The devices will not be discontinued, see TI's policy here.
