Is the FOD threshold and the analog ping threshold separate?

    Analog Ping and FOD threshold are not related and are separate.

    Analog Ping is looking for a change in the ping voltage amplitude due to an object placed on the pad, typically a receiver.  The next step for the transmitter is to send a digital pulse to try and get the receiver to respond.

    FOD is a system for detecting metal objects on the pad (along with a receiver) that are consuming power during a power transfer phase.  This is part of WPC1.1.
