Calculating of LOOP COMPENSATION (RC1, CC1) for LM20123

Hello,

I would like to know calculating of Loop Compensation (RC1, CC1) for LM20123.

There are calculatinon and table of (RC1, CC1) in P13 , P14 in datasheet of LM20123.
I calculated RC1 by this formula.
But calucurate result it not same with table2.

Which value of "Table 2 in P.13"  or "Formula of Rc1 in P.14"  should I use?  Or , should I use other formula ?

Incidently, I found "AN-2077 LM20k POL Module Reference Design" .
And this documment don't have table of (RC1,CC1). There is formula only for Loop Compensation.
  • Hello Ryuji,

The values in the table may not correspond with the values in the equation since the values in the table are very conservative. Using the equations will provide a more optimal response to load transients.  There is a free design calculator available for the LM20123 located on the website to assist in the design of the compensation circuitry.  I recommend using this calculator to obtain an intuitive understanding of how RC1, CC1, and CC2 effect the BODE plot and overall system stability.   Please see the link below to the design calculator:

  • Hello Dan,

Thank you for your prompt reply and sorry for late reply.
I undertstand that methodo of finding compensation.
