TPS59610 Vref Capacitor 1nF - 1µF

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS59610

Hi @all,

I'm using the TPS59610 IMVP buck controller.

The Datasheet SLUSA34 (March 2010) recommends a capacitor of 1000pF (page 7) between VREF and GND.

On page 10 there are 220nF used.

And within the users guide (sluu465 page 7) a capacitor of 1µF is used.

Is a 1µ necessary to provide stable operation?

With 1nF the voltage isn't stable and the controller is running into a reset state.

With 100nF or 2x100nF or 220nF or 1µF the voltage seems to be stable.

Which value do I need at least to be sure to buffer the voltage well?

Kind Regards,

Thomas
