bq24650 - charge termination reset question

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24650

I am using the bq24650 to charge a lithium battery. After the output voltage limit has been reached and the charge current has dropped to 1/10 of the current limit, the charge cycle is terminated.I would like to know if the TERM_EN pin can be used to reset the charge termination cycle and to restart a new charging cycle after the battery voltage and state of charge has dropped slightly.

The datasheet lists 3 methods of starting a new charge cycle:

battery falls below recharge threshold, power on reset, MPPSET falls below 75mv

In my application, the charge power source and battery are permanently connected, so I cannot use the power on reset or pull MPPSET below 75mv to restart the charge cycle. The battery recharge threshold is also too low and does not seem to be adjustable relative to maximum charge voltage.

If TERM_EN is pulled low, charge termination is disabled, if it is pulled high, charging will terminate at 1/10 of current limit. If TERM_EN is pulled high until the charge terminates, what would happen if TERM_EN was pulled low while in the charge terminated state? Would the charging cycle restart, or is removing the source or battery voltage the only way to restart a charge cycle?
