Got the TPS55340EVM-148 which is Isolated Flyback Topology EVM, based on TPS55340 5A for 5V output.
What need to to be changed, to use it for 24V input and 24V output /5A?

Hello Eli,
From the wording of your question, the answer would be don't use it! Connect your 24V supply to your output that requires 24V. You won't get a current boost from the power supply by using the device.
So rephrase your question and provide as much detail as possible. I suspect you meant 24V in and 5V at 5A out?
Thanks,
You just forgot to mention the isolation part. For Isolated Continuous Conduction Mode Flyback Using theTPS55340 SLVA9559.pdf
That app note is the same as the EVM. I will have to look through the EVM guide and schematic to see if you can get 24V out with 24V in. Just off the top of my head I would say changing the feedback input should do it as long as the transformer is rated for up to 5A. I will have to check.
Thanks,
Hi eli,
A controller such as the TPS40210 will be needed for this application. The 40V switch and 5A peak current limit will be too little. The output voltage of 24V is also reflected back to the primary. Assuming 1:1 transformer this would put 48V on the internal switch which already exceeds the absolute maximum and leaves no margin for overshoot and ringing.
Best Regards,
Anthony
