TPS63060 in constant current mode

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS63030, TPS63060, TPS63030EVM-658

Hi All,

We are using the TPS63060 in the same circuit described in TPS63030EVM-658 eval board. Since the reference voltage is the same we thought that this circuit topology would work with the TPS63060. We have followed a careful layout of the board and have used  the TPS63060 in several  constant voltage output designs with no issues. We chose this part due to the power supply: 2.5V-11-5V. The TPS63030 is limited to a maximum of 5.5V. We are using a .68 ohm resistor to ground from the LED cathode. All pf the other component values are the same. Upon powering up at 4.0V increasing the input up to 10V the LED intensity does not remain constant. I know there is a report (slva419b) showing constant current configurations for this switcher family. We have a board built and need to get this circuit working (the TPS63030EVM-658). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

One final question. We do not have the TPS63030EVM-658 eval board but does anyone know if it will provide a constant output current over it input operating range?

Thanks,

Paul
