We noticed that one of the TI parts used on a board that we are looking at making modifications to is listed as not recommended for new design.

Was there a notice sent out about this part's change in status?
Also can you give us any information about how long this part will be in production before going EOL?
Since was are making changes to our board assembly, we are trying to determine if it makes sense to switch to another buck controller at this point in time.
