Thermistor shared between bq34z100 and bq77908A

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ34Z100, BQ77908A

On the bottom of page 28 in the datasheet of bq77908A there is a paragraph that to me seems to indicate that bq77908A can share its thermistor with another chip. Is this correct? In that case, does the bq34z100 have the same feature?

In the paragraph I mentioned there is a reference to "V_EXT_PU." It is not mentioned elsewhere in the document. What is its value?

  • The thermistor sense interfaces on the two devices are different architectures, so it does not look like you can get by with using one thermistor. Sampling would also be independent, so you would probably run into conflicts periodically even if they were the same architecture.
