I am using the Bq24103 to charge a 2S1P pack.

I currently have Precharge and Charge Termination set to 1/10 of Fast-charge (133mA)

The datasheet shows ...

Charge current termination detection range of 15 to 200mA.

Can the Precharge and Charge Termination current be increased to 200mA?

    Hello Michael,

    The precharge and termination current are set via the same pin, ISET2.

    The process for adjusting these current thresholds can be seen on the bottom of Pg.14 and the top of Pg. 15 of the datasheet.

    Using Eq 2 you can solve for the value of Riset2 which is used between ISET2 and ground to set these current values.

    My real inquiry is about the "Charge current termination detection range of 15 to 200mA.

    Can I set the termination current at or above 200mA?

    Since on page 4 of the d/s, the ELECTRICAL CHARACTERISTICS table says

    CHARGE TERMINATION (CURRENT TAPER) DETECTION

    ITERM Charge current termination detection range VI(BAT) > VRCH 15 200 mA

    User should program the charge termination current between 15mA and 200mA.
