LM3410 efficiency

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM3410

Hello Team,

We are using LM3410 for driving two LEDs in series.

We have used 1.8ohm resistor at feedback pin to set the output current to 110mA. Inductor used is 10uH & input source is Li-ion battery.

When we connected a 4VDC supply for testing, input current of the circuit is 350mA, which results in efficiency of 35%.

Can you please guide, what changes we need to make to improve the efficiency? Also, what would be the specs for diode suitable for this design?

Ideally input current should be less than 200mA.

Regards,

Mahendra Patel, TI, Mumbai.
