The over charging current protection for bq77910A

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ77910A, BQ78350

Hi Sir,

We would like to use the bq77910A for ebike battery pack application (24V/36V) and we checked it spec there was not a  over charging current protection in it. Can you suggest us how to add the function to our battery pack design if we would like to use the bq77910A???

Thanks

William

  • The charge current protection in the bq77910A is the Short Circuit in Charge detection function.  Its response time range is rather fast.

Please note the bq77910A is not recommended for new designs. The bq78350 gauge with the bq769x0 AFE appropriate for the cell count used is suggested as the replacement which should be more versatile.
