BQ500211 - CE certification

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ500211

Hi All,

Our company is now at the CE certification stage of our product containing BQ500211. In Europe wireless charger is treated as radio equipment.

So we have to meet the requirements of European standards with directive R&TTE - ETSI EN 300 330-1 V1.8.1 (2015-03). www.etsi.org/.../en_30033001v010801p.pdf

Our problem lies in the fact that during the tests we need to force the device to work in extreme conditions. This means that we must force stable extreme operating frequencies (112kHz and 205kHz). It is necessary to perform the tests (i.e. test 7.3 in ETSI EN 300 330-1 V1.8.1 above).

Unfortunately, we cannot do it by simply providing external PWM signal to H-Bridge - our Notified Body said that this is too much interference in the system. We have to force BQ in some way to provide stable PWM signal with 112 and 215 kHz.

Do you have any idea how to force the device to work like this? We would be very grateful for any ideas.

Radek
