Hi Team,

According to application report, the parallel configuration of TPS22966(dual, 6A) is capable of 10A continuous load.

How about parallel configuration of TPS22968(dual, 4A)?
I think it isn't capable of 8A(4A+4A) in the same way.

    When putting the two TPS22966 channels in parallel, current passes through each channel.  However, there may be an uneven distribution of current due to an on-resistance variation between each channel.  Please see the figure below.

    When there is a difference between RON1 and RON2, then I1 and I2 will not be the same.  In the case of the TPS22966, each channel has a maximum current of 6A, but we have only recommended a 10A total maximum current for the parallel configuration.  This is because there is an assumed maximum channel to channel on-resistance variation of 33%, and this causes 60% of the current to flow through one channel and 40% to flow through the other channel.  A total current of 10A would put 6A through one channel and a higher current would exceed the maximum rating for that channel.

    Using the same 33% assumption for the TPS22968, a maximum current of 6.7A can be used.  However, this current can be raised depending on the specific configuration of the device.  Is there a specific current your customer is trying to use with this parallel configuration?
