Hello

We ordered BQ2083EVM to verify testing but found BQ2083EVM (included EV2200) can not communicate with Laptop(via USB), GUI stated " Target Board Not Responding" test set up as attached.

Pls help double check what wrong for this connection?

The EV2200 adapter does not communicate with the USB port. It has to be connected to the serial port on a computer, which your laptop probably does not support. You can use the EV2300 with the EVM and it does use the USB interface to the computer.

After chang to Com port, GUI stated "No Acknowled from device" What wrong with my connection? or I miss something?

Knightly,

It looks like you have the EV2200 adapter connection fixed. I did not notice that you were using a 1S configuration in your picture. The bq2083 only supports 3S and 4S. You could try the bq27210 as it is a CEDV device that supports 1S.

We order EV2300 as your suggest, EV2300 have 4 wire connection SMBD, SMBC, GND and NC,

-How is GND of EV2300 connected to Bq2083EVM-001? I notice that no GND pin available in the EVM,

- Does load/charger required? in my set up, we used 3 cells Lion battery.
