We are designing Cap Drop Power Supply design on PMP9311 based ref design. It is able to generate 3.3V out on DC/DC Converter on load.We are putting of 40mA at 230VAC, After putting 40mA load the output of DC/DC is Drops and it fluctuate between 2.4V to 3.3V rapidly. On no load it is working fine.
Our maximum current requirement is 39mA at output. We are testing this circuit using resistor as load on output of DCDC at 3.3V,
Below are the value of Resistor we are using:
- 1. 10mA @ 330 ohm
- 2. 20mA @ 165 ohm
- 3. 30mA @ 110 ohm
- 4. 40mA @ 82 ohm
Zener voltage is 39V(Part# MMSZ529B-7-F) and all value is mounted as per ref. schematic except R2 and R6, We are using 100K instead of 200K for R2 and R6. for C8 we are using Low ESR Elco of 220uF 50V.
Issue happening at startup with load, On startup with Load, it works fine but starting on no load and then connecting load it works with ripple and spike.
