Change output voltage on PMP9253

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV431

Dear all,

is is possible to change the output voltage from 5 V to 5,5V-7.5V on this board PMP9253 ?

If yes, what components do i have to change and can the transformer (PA3855.005NLT) stay the same?

Best Regards.

  • Hi,

By increasing R12 to 3.3K the output voltage will increase to 5.5V. The design should be able to produce 7.5V but it may run out of duty cycle at lower input voltage values. Do you require operation down to 9V with the higher output voltage values?

R12 forms a potential divider with parallel combination of R13 and R14. The TLV431 has a reference input voltage value of 1.24V so the potential divider must be arranged such that the midpoint point value is 1.24V at the desired Vout level.

    Regards
