Inverting operation from TL497A ? -0.5V (0.1A)

I am trying to generate -0.5V (0.1A) using TL497A. Is this possible with this regulator? because the calculations give me a negative R1 resistance value. Please suggest alternatives if not possible

TL497A is a generic controller. It should do inverting buck boost. It is a 40 year old part though. If you post your equations I can take a look. If you post your complete requirements, I can suggest a more modern alternative (maybe something from this century).
